How Well Do You Know Your Car?

Think you're pretty smart when it comes to your car? You probably are, especially if you spend a lot of time in it, but do you know which is the best type of oil to feed it? Most of us haven't a clue, so you're not alone if you don't. There are basically three types of oil for your car: synthetic, conventional, and a synthetic blend.
Most cars today actually require that you only use synthetic oil in them. But there are a couple of exceptions. If you drive a late-model, low-mileage vehicle, then you can get away with using a conventional oil. Or, if you haul heavy loads or are in the high RPMs a lot, then a synthetic oil is the one for you. You can also use a synthetic oil if you want a little extra protection without having to commit to a full synthetic motor oil.
